GreenMo and e-bike join forces
to conquer European e-mobility market

Waardenburg, the Netherlands, 25 March 2021 – GreenMo Group, market leader in the field of full-service rental of electric vehicles, has taken a majority share in e-bike to go. The acquisition of shares in the largest provider of e-bike subscriptions in the Netherlands is a strategic response to the explosive growth in the e-bike market. GreenMo took over the shares held by bicycle wholesaler Kruitbosch, which played a major role in the earlier stages of e-bike to go’s rapid growth.

Due to the synergy between e-bike to go and Kruitbosch, e-bike to go has undergone considerable development. Over the past three years, e-bike to go increased its sales volume by 600 percent, thereby securing a spot in the top-20 fastest growing tech companies in the Netherlands. E-bike to go fully expects to continue this trend in 2021. To meet the explosive demand whilst maintaining a high level of service, GreenMo and e-bike to go recently joined forces. The companies’ complimentary fields of expertise are a good match in matters relating to e-mobility for the corporate, consumer and delivery markets.

International expansion

GreenMo’s fleet of 30,000 vehicles is spread out over the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the UK, France and Austria. The sheer number of vehicles combined with an impressive client list that includes Just Eat Takeaway (thuisbezorgd.nl), Domino’s and the Dutch national police force make GreenMo one of the biggest providers of electric lease vehicles for the corporate market. Teaming up with e-bike to go enables GreenMo to also enter the consumer market with a lease proposition. GreenMo Group already is a partner of the successful e-scooter sharing service GO Sharing.

E-bike to go founder Jelle Visser is very pleased with the new phase his company is entering: ‘The fact that e-bike to go has experienced rapid growth, and has done so even during the coronavirus pandemic, proves that now is the time to pursue international expansion. At present, we operate in three European countries. The partnership with GreenMo brings us that much closer to our goal of a larger European service area.’

GreenMo founder Doeke Boersma sees great value in the partnership: ‘The professional e-bike to go team and their profound knowledge, combined with the company’s growth potential and a sexy bike for both B2B and B2C clients is just what we need to strengthen our position as pan-European market leader in subscription-based e-vehicle leasing.’
